I found RDH magazine a very resourceful website that goes over several different topics while covering leadership. This website is pertains mainly to dental hygienists and possibly even to anyone in the dental profession. The article, "Does leadership matter," by Linda Meeuwenberg gave me in depth insight to what leadership stood for as a dental hygienist. In the article, she mentions The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz that I found extremely helpful and powerful. The four philosophy taught me to avoid gossip as much as possible because it can create a very hostile environment, to not take things personally and to be your truest self, clearly communicate with your team and avoid any assumptions by asking for clarification, and do the best you can no matter what. Overall, I gained so much knowledge with this website and resource because it provided outside resources throughout the article.

The ADEA website is a great source for professionalism in dental education. I found it beneficial to me because there was a chart that displayed six different values defining professionalism with an explanation to each value. The six values are listed as the following: competence, fairness, integrity, responsibility, respect, and service mindedness. Each value is followed by an expanded definition and examples for students, faculty, researchers, and administrators/institutions.

The American Dental Hygienist Association is a valuable resource that delivers an ample amount of informative information and resources for those who are pursing a future in dental hygiene or already are in the field. This website offers a student membership and a professional membership. The membership offers a vast selection of resources that can benefit students and professionals. Overall, I found the American Dental Hygienist Association greatly beneficial to me because as a dental hygiene student, this website has so much to offer whether it be resources, the latest news, scholarship offers, and much more.
