ULM Dental Hygiene Student
Hello,
a bit about me:
My name is Jenny Le. I was born and raised in Alexandria, LA. I am a senior majoring in Dental Hygiene at the University of Louisiana Monroe. At a young age, I knew being a dental hygienist was what I aspired to be and chased after it. Some of my most loved hobbies require creativity. This year, I was nominated and chosen to be the design coordinator for the Dental Hygiene program. I am able to use my creativity in creating and designing apparel to help best represent our school and program while raising money for our student organization.
Philosophy of Practice
A hygienist stands for a trustworthy, professional whom provides oral care assessments for patients specifically for the patients’ needs and helps each individual patient further their education on oral health and hygiene. As a hygienist, I will provide patients with the most resourceful information and instructions that applies specifically to them.
With a career in dental hygiene, I want to have a rewarding impact on each patient I encounter. The passion I have for this career will show through my overall performance in the clinic and office. Trust is an important factor that will need to be gained by my co-workers and patients; I plan to gain their trust by being honest and ethical at all times. I believe being trustworthy is an important factor to have in order in the long spectrum due to several patients’ dental anxiety some may have at the dentist office and also helping with teamwork in creating a plan and goal. In everything I do, I will be compassionate about it at all times and show it through my work and skills.
As a dental hygienist, I plan to:
-
Continue to expand my knowledge and growth in the field
-
Develop professional relationships with each patient and all of my colleagues
-
Provide the best oral health care for every single one of my patients
-
Give and help around the community as much as I can
